Description:
AIRAID intake kits provide increased airflow into the engine by removing the factory air intake box and replacing it with a high-flow conical air filter element mounted on a molded plastic tube. With a greater volume of air, the engine in turn will be able to put out more power and run more efficiently. AIRAID systems also dress up the engine compartment. The kits install easily. All the necessary hardware and complete installation instructions are included. The pieces fit together with the existing factory components exactly to provide a professional looking end result. There are no moving parts and the heavy-duty tubing and lifetime filter will last as long as you own your truck. Simply clean the filter periodically as you would a K&N filter.
AIRAID intakes also come with a heavy-duty heat shield so as to protect the filter from the engine?s heat. In many cases, AIRAID?S unique design uses your vehicle?s hood to provide the last barrier against the Horsepower Zapping, extreme temperatures the intake is subjected to.
